We are the Margery Scranton Council of Republican Women chartered by the Pennsylvania Federation of Republican Women and the National Federation of Republican Women
We are located at 101 Pittston Ave, Suite 5, Scranton, Pennsylvania
and serve all of Lackawanna County

Our Work
We are an active, energetic group of women committed to good government. Through our meetings and networking opportunities we would like to engage you to become more informed in the political process.
We work to encourage and elect responsible candidates, we work to support our communities, our military and our families. We also work to see that all children have a quality education and encourage families to become involved in their children’s education. It is incumbent upon on parents to engage the school board when there is a clash of their families’ values with what is being taught in school. It is also critically important to elect candidates that support that concept and we believe that the Republican Party is the best vehicle for obtaining these goals.
We are Republicans because:
WE BELIEVE
the strength of our nation lies in the individual and that each person’s dignity, freedom, ability, and responsibility must be honored.
WE BELIEVE
in equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, sex, age, or disability.
WE BELIEVE
in free enterprise and encouraging individual initiative have brought this nation opportunity, economic growth and prosperity.
WE BELIEVE
that government must practice fiscal responsibility and allow individuals to keep more of the money they earn.
We Also Believe:
That the proper role of government is to provide for the people only those critical functions that cannot be performed by individuals or private organizations and that the best government is that which governs least.
That the most effective, responsible, and responsive government is government closest to the people.
That Americans must retain the principles that have made us strong while developing new and innovative ideas to meet the challenges of changing times.
That Americans value and should preserve our national strength and pride while working to extend peace, freedom and human rights throughout the world.
That the Republican Party is the best vehicle for translating these ideals into positive and successful principles of government.
